Hi everyone and Happy Friday!!! I'm sorry it's been so long since I last posted. A lot has been going on here. After seven years as a prosecuting attorney, I decided I needed a change. It was such a rewarding job and I loved every minute of it, but as I was one day at the office looking at yet another autopsy report and autopsy photographs of a murdered child, I decided enough was enough. I just, for my own emotional well being, couldn't do it anymore. So, I got a new job in Charleston, WV, about a five hour drive from where we were currently living. So, in the last few weeks, we found a new place to live, moved, and I started a new job, all with a 4 month old, a 4 year old, and two cats and a husband! :) It's been crazy busy, but everything is great and I finally had some time to make a card.
I have a new card to share with you today using some brand new products from the Stampin' Up Holiday Catalog. I'm in love with the new Paisleys and Posies bundle in the new holiday catalog. There are so many different ways to use this set. The versatility means you can use this set all year long, not just during the holidays. Todays' card uses the emboss resist technique and some beautiful new in colors. Here's my card:
To create this card, I first stamped the images with versamark ink and stamped them all over a piece of whisper white cardstock. I then sprinkled clear stampin' emboss powder all over the panel and set it with my heat gun. Then, I got out my sponges and my Peekaboo Peach, Flirty Flamingo, and Sweet Sugarplum ink pads and went to town sponging. I love this technique! To finish it off, I added some gold glimmer paper, some gold embossing powder to the sentiment, and some gold metallic thread. I also used some gold sequins. What do you think?
Well, that's it from me today. Thanks so much for stopping by and have a wonderful day and weekend!
Inky Hugs,
Christine
